At First Baptist Church Lindale, we believe that God works through the prayers of His people. The Watchman prayer warriors are the backbone of our church and play a vital role in the health of our church.

While we don’t believe there is anything inherently special about this model, we believe that the hour-to-hour approach used by the Watchman model is strategic because of

• the built-in accountability (you begin when someone calls you and end by calling someone else),
• the cohesiveness of the prayer as requests are passed along, and
• the relational ties that are strengthened through this approach (prayer is not a solo work).

We also appreciate that it allows for people with very different schedules to unite together under one prayer ministry of our church.

We know that your commitment will require discipline and sacrifice. But we believe it will be time well spent. God will grow you through this ministry, and the ministries of our church will be strengthened.
