What should I expect when I visit?

Focus on the Word

Our goal in gathering together is that “the Word of Christ dwell in us richly” (Colossians 3:16).  Every aspect of our services is consciously built on God’s Word.  We sing God’s Word, pray in light of God’s Word, read God’s Word publically, listen to God’s Word preached, and respond to God’s Word.  We seek to be relevant, not by following the latest trends, but by bringing the Word of Almighty God to bear on our lives.  Because the Bible is so central, we encourage you to bring a Bible with you when you come.  If you do not have one, we have pew Bibles available or we would be happy to give you a Bible.

Singing and Preaching

Instead of focusing on one music style, we focus on singing together the truths that unite us in Christ.  Instead of listening to a message on some topic important to the pastor, the sermons generally work through a book of the Bible so that we hear all of what God wants us to hear.  Before and after our service, we go hard after people.  During the service, we go hard after God.  Our services are generally an hour and fifteen minutes.

Warmth

We hope that you sense the joy within our church, the genuine love for our Savior, and the care for people.  One of the key places where more personal connections are designed to happen is in our Sunday School classes, so we encourage you to visit a Sunday School in addition to a service.

Our church has many entrances.  Feel free to enter at any of them, and a greeter will be happy to direct you wherever you need to go.
