Commitment Sunday May 18th in the MMCPosted by: paul in Announcements, Capital Campaign, News
Are you living a Twelve One Lifestyle. Twelve One is the name of the student ministries department at FBC Lindale. It comes from Romans 12:1-2 which says this: "I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect." We are asking the students of this church to step up to the challenge of living a Twelve One life. Would you join me in praying for the young people of the church in each of the following areas? 1) That they woud be committed to offering their bodies as a living sacrifice 2) That they would reject the paterns of this world 3) That they would seek the transforming power of the Holy Spirit 4) That they would be in tune with God’s will for their life. Do you find yourself puzzled over a decision you have to make? Everyday we are faced with decisions that range from the seemingly insignificant to the life-altering. Often, we don’t even realize how a decision that I make today could affect the future of my life for many years to come. This month we are looking to God’s Word into the life of David to get a better understanding about making decisions that will lead to Godly blessings. This Sunday, we will take an in-depth look at how circumstances can have an effect on our decision-making process. We will see, from David’s life, that we cannot trust interpreting our circumstances as the means by which we make our decisions. What do we do when a circumstance seems to clearly indicate the hand of God? Come this Sunday to hear how we respond to circumstantial evidence. Tags: decisions, sermon
Life is such a new adventure everyday and with being a child of God it is more beautiful and hard, joyous and confusing. As I enjoy my grandchildren and children. I’m so amazed at what God has out there for them, I pray that they will have more joys then trials but nevertheless, I desire for them to walk with Jesus, in faith, obedience and in the Spirit. |

Calling all students if you are in the 6th through 12th grade I would love to invite you to join us on Wednesday nights at 6:00 P.M. We are having a blast and going through the four aspects of a Twelve One lifestyle. It is awesome. BE THERE! .jpg)
